Bhirvande is a nature-rich village near Kankavli, situated at the foothills of the Sahyadri mountain range. This village still preserves its historical identity. Both my aunts are from Bhirvande, so I have been visiting this village since my childhood. My elder aunt, whom we call ‘Aaka,’ has an enormous house. Back in the day, 42 families lived in that one house, which has 111 doors.
